Crossfire | Trailer – BBC

A high-octane action thriller, executive produced by and starring BAFTA-nominated Keeley Hawes (Spooks, Line of Duty, Bodyguard, Mrs Wilson), Crossfire is the first original series by bestselling novelist Louise Doughty (Apple Tree Yard, Black Water).

Serien er på tre episoder der vises ugentligt.

Jo Cross (Hawes) is sunbathing on her hotel balcony while on a dream holiday with her family and friends, when shots ring out across the complex. In an instant, her slice of carefree paradise is turned into a terrifying hell, with innocent holidaymakers and hotel staff forced to make monumental split-second, life-or-death decisions.

As the siege unfolds in real time, Jo teams up with a hotel security guard to try and rescue the families scattered across the resort. The four youngest kids are in the care of adults, but Jo’s teenage daughter Amara is in hiding alone by the pool as the gunmen continue their rampage. Through flashbacks and flashforwards, the impacts of Jo’s traumatic past as a police officer and messy love affair with her husband’s best friend are slowly revealed.

From the makers of The Salisbury Poisonings and The Responder, Crossfire is an intricately woven story of trauma and resilience with a cast also including Josette Simon (Small Axe, Riviera), Anneika Rose (Deadwater Fell, Line of Duty), Lee Ingleby (The Serpent Queen, Criminal UK) and Daniel Ryan (The Bay, Home Fires).
