LG vil også tilbyde 4k Hollywood film på harddisk
4K indhold er ligenu en mangelvare, men flere producenter såsom Sony og Samsung arbejder på sagen via ekstern harddiske med spillefilm.
LG vil også være med og har netop annonceret et samarbejde med DivX, hvis DRM løsning skal beskytte filmindhold når LG engang tilbyder 4K film på ekstern harddisk.
DRM løsningen skal sikre at filmene kun kan afspilles på LG’s tv.
Der nævnes ikke nogen tidshorisont i pressemeddelelsen.
