Streamingtjenesten Starz Play har skiftet navn
Starz Play tjenesten startede som selvstændig streamingtjeneste i Danmark tilbage i februar måned. Nu har tjenesten så skiftet navn til Lionsgate+.
Om årsagen til navneskiftet så lyder det fra selskabet:
“We recognized the potential of the global OTT market early, and over the last few years we have built an incredible global streaming service, which has become a destination for audiences seeking premium, provocative programming,” udtaler Jeffrey Hirsch, President and CEO of STARZ. “Operating under LIONSGATE+ internationally brings a distinct and differentiated identity in an increasingly crowded international marketplace and builds on the brand equity in the Lionsgate name that our extensive research has proven is strong around the world. Even with the separation of STARZ and the Lionsgate studio business, the Lionsgate brand will continue to be valuable to the ongoing success of our international platform.”
Selv om tjenesten har skiftet navn, så skriver man dog fortsat, at man på Lionsgate+ kan se aktuelle og tidligere sæsoner af originale serier fra STARZ.
Mens StarzPlay kun havde 7 dages prøveperiode, så tilbyder Lionsgate på en 30 dages gratis prøveperiode.
LIONSGATE+ er tilgængelig i Brasilien, Frankrig, Tyskland, Italien, Irland, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Nederlandene, Danmark, Sverige, Norge, Finland, Spanien og Storbritannien.
Lionsgate+ er også en del af Viaplay, der jo var lanceringspartner i de nordiske lande for Starz og den aftale forsvinder ikke med navneskiftet.
