The Tender Bar fra 7/1

The Tender Bar er baseret på memoir-bestselleren af samme navn af J.R Moehringer.

The Tender Bar fortæller historien om J.R. (Tye Sheridan). En faderløs dreng, der vokser op i rampelyset på en bar, hvor hans onkel Charlie (Ben Affleck) fremstår som den mest farverige og excentriske faderfigur. Da drengens mor (Lily Rabe) kæmper med at forsørge sin søn og give ham de muligheder, hun ikke selv havde som barn, beslutter hun sig for at forlade deres faldefærdige hjem til trods for sin fars (Christopher Lloyd) modvillighed. J.R. begynder at forfølge både sine romantiske og professionelle drømme samtidig med, at han har én fod plantet i sin onkel Charlies bar.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania 14/1

As We See It follows Jack (Rick Glassman), Harrison (Albert Rutecki), and Violet (Sue Ann Pien), twentysomething roommates on the autism spectrum, as they strive to get and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that eludes them. With the help of their families, aide, and sometimes even each other, these roommates experience setbacks and celebrate triumphs on their own unique journeys towards independence and acceptance. Series stars Glassman, Rutecki, and Pien all identify as living on the autism spectrum. The series also stars Sosie Bacon as their aide Mandy, Chris Pang as Violet’s brother Van, and Joe Mantegna as Jack’s father Lou.

Reacher – Premiere 4. februar 2022

Serien handler om Jack Reacher, en veteran efterforsker fra militærpolitiet, som for nylig er trådt ind i det civile liv.

Reacher er en flakke, der ikke bærer en telefon og kun har det allernødvendigste med sig, når han rejser landet rundt og udforsker den nation, han engang tjente. Da Reacher ankommer til den lille by Margrave, Georgia, finder han et samfund, der kæmper med sit første mord i 20 år. I want you back er en ny romantisk komediefilm kan ses fra 11. februar.

Peter (Charlie Day) and Emma (Jenny Slate) are total strangers, but when they meet, one thing instantly bonds them: They were both unexpectedly dumped by their respective partners, Anne (Gina Rodriguez) and Noah (Scott Eastwood), on the same weekend. As the saying goes, “misery loves company,” but their commiseration turns into a mission when they see on social media that their exes have happily moved on to new romances, Anne with Logan (Manny Jacinto) and Noah with Ginny (Clark Backo).

Terrified that, in their 30s, they have lost their shot at happily ever after and horrified at the prospect of having to start over, Peter and Emma hatch a desperate plot to win the loves of their lives back. Each will do whatever it takes to put an end to their exes’ new relationships and send them running back to their arms. The ensemble cast of I Want You Back also includes Luke David Blumm, Isabel May, Jami Gertz, Dylan Gelula, and Mason Gooding.

Amazon Prime Videos Lord of the Rings serie fra 2. september 2022

Serien, der endnu ikke har en officiel titel, er optaget i New Zealand, og der er ikke sparet på udgifterne til produktionen. Det rapporteres at første sæson løber op i 465 millioner dollars.

Rent handlingsmæssigt så foregår i en relativt rolig tid, tusindvis af år før begivenhederne i bøgerne ‘Hobbitten’ og ‘Ringenes Herre’.

Totems – ny serie

Prime Video præsenterer i 2022 også serien Totems.

Set in 1965 in the midst of the Cold War, Totems follows a French scientist, Francis Mareuil (Niels Schneider), as he begins working as a spy. While working for the French Secret Service and the CIA, Mareuil meets Lyudmila Goloubeva (Vera Kolesnikova), a pianist forced to work for the KGB. A romance blossoms between them, but neither can be sure what is an expression of their true feelings, and what is the fruit of political shenanigans. The eight-episode, 52-minute series will star Niels Schneider, Vera Kolesnikova, José Garcia, Lambert Wilson, and Ana Girardot.

The Bad Guy

The Bad Guy mixes crime with dark comedy, and revolves around the incredible story of Nino Scotellaro, a Sicilian public prosecutor who devoted his entire life to fighting against the Mafia and is suddenly accused of being one of the very men he has always fought against: a Mafioso. After being condemned, and with nothing left to lose, Nino decides to pull off a Machiavellian revenge plan, becoming the “bad guy” he has been unjustly turned into.

A Private Affair

Jean Reno (22 Bullets, Le Grand Bleu) and Aura Garrido (El Ministerio del Tiempo) star in the fast-paced and fun period drama that portrays a woman’s struggle to follow her dreams despite the societal stereotypes of the time. Set in the late 1940s, when several prostitutes are murdered by a serial killer in Vigo, Marina Quiroga, an adventurous upper class woman sets out to catch the killer with the help of her faithful butler, Hector. Neither the gender prejudices she experiences, her mother’s attempts to marry her off, nor the new chief of police – who happens to be her brother Arturo – will stop her from uncovering the truth. Marina fights against all odds to achieve her dream of becoming a female detective in a man’s world.

The Kids in the Hall – vender tilbage

First premiering in 1989, the original Emmy Award-nominated The Kids in the Hall starred Canadian comedians Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson. All of the original “Kids” return in an exciting new season with a fresh batch of fun off beat characters and beloved favourites, with sketches that pack a satirical punch, laced with the hilarious, edgy and fearless comedy the Kids are synonymous for.

Prisma

Prisma is a coming-of-age drama series centred on the complex relationship between physical appearance and identity; especially for a generation that uses self- image as its primary tool of expression. The series tells the story of Marco and Andrea, identical-twin brothers who are both challenging gender norms in different ways. Their journey to self-discovery will also involve their group of friends, all attempting to find their own place in an ever-changing world.

Mammels

Mammals is a six-part UK Amazon Original comedy-drama series, starring Tony-, Emmy-, and BAFTA Award-winner James Corden (The Late Late Show, Gavin & Stacey), twice Oscar- and BAFTA-nominated Sally Hawkins (Paddington, The Shape of Water), Melia Kreiling (Filthy Rich), Colin Morgan (Humans), Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve), and Samuel Anderson (Witless). Directed by Stephanie Laing (Made for Love, Physical) and produced by Street Hassle.

KSI dokumentar

A new 90-minute documentary, featuring KSI and executive produced by BAFTA-winner Louis Theroux, will launch exclusively on Prime Video in 2022. The film will follow KSI as he prepares for the biggest year of his career so far.
