Nent Group køber flere fodboldrettigheder til Baltisk Viaplay lancering

UEFA Champions League og UEFA Europa League bliver også en del af udbuddet når Viaplay lanceres i de baltiske lande. Den baltiske lancering er sat til 9. marts 2021, mens de nye rettigheder gælder fra 2021/22 sæsonen til og med 2023/2024.

I forvejen så har Nent Group købt Formel 1, NHL og Bundesliga rettigheder ind til Viaplay i de baltiske lande.

Viaplay lanceres i de baltiske  lande som én samlet pakke med både film, serier og sport. Prisen bliver 9,99 Euro / måned, altså markant billigere end i de nordiske lande, men naturligvis må prisen også tilpasses økonomien på det marked man lancerer i.

Over de næste fem år forventes udbredelsen af streaming i de baltiske lande at vokse fra 15% af husstandene op til 50%, mens antallet af abonnementer estimeres til at få en samlet årlig vækstrate på op til 40%.
