Dansk statsborger i Malaga taget i illegal tv-distribution

Det spanske politi og Europol har lavet en razzia i Malaga mod en af Europa’s største illegale tv-streaming virksomheder, skriver broadbandtvnews.com. Hovedmanden skulle ifølge mediet været en dansker, der har forsynet tusindvis af forbrugere i Europa med illegal redistribution af tv-signaler, som del af sin internetudbyder virksomhed.

Det skulle være Premier League der har indledt undersøgelsen, der har fundet frem til personen. Der er udover Spanien også tråde til Bulgarien i den aktuelle razzia, som går under navnet Operation Casper. Der blevet slået til samtidigt 12 forskellige steder i Spanien og Bulgarien.

Kevin Plumb, director of legal services, Premier League,udtaler: “These actions are just one part of the largest anti-piracy campaign the Premier League has conducted to protect its copyright.

“The raids in Spain and Bulgaria by the Spanish Police and law enforcement agencies are a clear indication that IPTV piracy will not be tolerated. Our model, like other sports and creative industries, is predicated on the ability to market and sell rights and protect our intellectual property. It is because of this that clubs can invest in and develop talented players, build world class stadiums, and support young people in schools and communities across the country.”
