LG demonstrerer HDR TV med BBC, SES og EBU på IFA

High Dynamic Range (HDR) indhold er endnu begrænset til streamingtjenester, men på sigt kan tv-kanaler også tilbyde teknologien. High Dynamic Range kan give billedet et mere naturligt udtryk ved at flere detaljer i både lys og skygge. Mange analytikere vurderer HDR som et større kvalitetsspring end HD til Ultra HD.

På IFA messen i Berlin, der åbner i denne uge, så vil LG demonstrere  High Dynamic Range indhold i forhold til TV og Broadcasting. Det sker i forhold til at vise BBC Research & Development’s HDR indhold streamet af EBU (European Broadcasting Union) samt med SES via satellit.

Teknologien MPEG DASH, også kendt som Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP tillader HDR indhold streamet over nettet fra almingelige web servere.

Sammen med SES demonstreres transmission af HDR indhold via satellit. Indholdet vises via en BROADCOM’s set-top box, som kan leverere HDR indhold via HDMI.
